Freda Evonne Graham

Freda Evonne Graham, age 85, passed away January 14, 2022 at Baptist Hospital in Heber Springs. She was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas on July 7, 1936 to the late John Richards and Ruth Holder Richards.

Freda was a seamstress for many years after which her and Loman Established Grahams Foster Home and Pine Mountain Retirement Home, a home for disabled veterans, which they owned and operated for many years.

She loved spending time with her family and cooking for them. She also loved gardening, canning, working in her flower beds, fishing and camping and Bluegrass Gospel music. Freda loved the Lord and she loved her church family at Sardis Church in Damascus, Arkansas where she was a faithful member for years. The last years of her life were spent quilting which she dearly loved to do. She blessed many with her beautiful quilts.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Mac Loman; a second husband, Lawrence Williams; her parents, John and Ruth Richards; three brothers; one sister; an infant son, Gerald Loman Graham; one son-in-law, Bill Wilson; an infant great-grandson, Joseph Harper Burkhead.

Freda is survived by her daughters, Helen (Kent) Schroeder, and Jannie Wilson; one son, Lonnie (Tracy) Graham; a much-loved sister, Geneva Earles; her grandchildren, Kent Jr. (Lisa) Schroeder, Amanda (Glenn) Scissell, Keri Zorn, Kirk Schroeder, Dustin (Sarah) Burkhead, Adam (Shawnna) Burkhead, Rebekah Wilson, Danny (Kayce) Wilson, Daniel (Michelle) Graham, Carlie (Austin) Lay, Whitney (Jeremy) Ballinger, and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Heber Springs Funeral Home. The funeral service is 10:00am, Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Sardis Church in Damascus, Arkansas with the interment directly following the service at Grissard Cemetery in El Paso, Arkansas. Pastor Wesley Watts is officiating.

The pallbearers are Kent Schroeder, Dustin Burkhead, Adam Burkhead, Daniel Graham, Austin Lay, and Danny Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers are Kirk Schroeder, Glenn Scissell, Reagan & Aidan Scissell, Madison & Brody Burkhead, Colton Hambrick, Lily & Brayden Burkhead, and Tanner & Zeke Graham.
