Fred Quandt, age 80, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born April 28, 1941 at Arkansas Post, Arkansas to the late Chester Quandt and Alice Davis Quandt. He was a member of Sugar Loaf Baptist Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Fred owned an Aerial Applicator Service for many years in Tillar, Arkansas before he retired. He enjoyed flying, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and working on automobiles. He also loved hunting, fishing, and traveling in his RV.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Alice Quandt; one son, Mark Herring; one sister, Janette Underwood; one nephew and two nieces.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Cloud Quandt; two sons, Randy Quandt (Alexis) of Cabot, Arkansas, and James Herring of Casscoe, Arkansas; two daughters, Lisa Evans (Debbie) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Lori Cox (Michael) of Fort Hood, Texas; one brother, Teddy Quandt (Joyce) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be 9:00am, Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Heber Springs Funeral Home with a Funeral Service starting immediately after at 10:00am. The interment will be at Hunters Chapel Cemetery in Casscoe, Arkansas following the service. Bro. Tony Criswell will officiate.
