Emma Jean (McGathy) Davis

Emma Jean (McGathy) Davis, age 83, of Pangburn, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at home. She was born February 10, 1939 in McArthur, Arkansas to the late John James McGathy and Lura (Ross) McGathy.

Jean loved to be involved in any activity outdoors from fishing, gardening, camping, and especially when it included having her family close to her side. She was a great organizer for family get-togethers. She was passionate about her family. Jean also loved her church when she was able to attend and her church family.

Jean was preceeded in death by her parents; two sons, John James Heier and Joseph Anton Heier; one daughter, Diane Hetherington; and two brothers, Lester McGathy and Robert McGathy.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Davis; two sons, Steve Heier of Pangburn and Brian Heier (Sheila) of Pangburn; three daughters, Catherine Hadley (Robert) of Pangburn, Karolyn Blasingame of Pangburn, and Sherrie Herrin (Dewayne) of Pangburn; She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.

The Memorial Service for Jean is 11:00 am, Friday, July 22, 2022 at Glad Tidings Baptist Church in Pangburn, Arkansas.
