Edna Elizabeth Ferrell, age 97, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Southridge Nursing and Rehab. She was born April 13, 1928 in Taylorsville, Mississippi to the late Frank Williams and Elizabeth Dupree Williams. 

Edna loved to travel, cook, sew, and quilt. She was a great baker and loved to cook sweets, but she couldn’t eat any of them. However, she made up for her missing sweets by drinking her more-than-fair share of diet cokes. Edna loved helping people, especially her family. She would often sacrifice her own needs and possessions just to help others. 

Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Monroe Ferrell; sons, Harvey Ferrell and Harry Ferrell; daughters, Betty Ferrell Smith and Gracie Ferrell; eight brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by five sons, Herman Ferrell, Hurley Ferrell, Jabe Ferrell, Wiley Ferrell, and Bernard Ferrell; two daughters, Jimmie Lou Ferrell, and Mary Ferrell Kees; one brother; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and many extended family members and wonderful friends. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
