Don Hagan Obituary

Donald Scott Hagan, age 74, or Southside, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at his home. He was born August 27, 1946 in Grant City, Missouri to the late Raymond Hagan and Kathryn Wall Hagan. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Southside, Arkansas.

Don was a construction contractor who built custom homes. He was known for his custom wood and rock work. He was loved by everyone. His employees were like family. Most of his employees were long-term and worked with Don until his retirement. He took pride in his craftmanship and remained in contact with the owners of his custom homes for many years after the job was completed.  Once he considered you a friend you were part of his family.

Don was an Army veteran who served his country in the Vietnam War. He was a huge football fan and loved completing large jigsaw puzzles. He loved his family and was 100% devoted to his wife. Don placed his faith in the Lord in 1999 and lived out his faith by taking care of others. Part of his service to his Lord was carried out in two mission trips to Honduras to build schools, churches and water systems for the people there.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Ramona Hagan, and Charlotta Moyer; two brothers, Ronnie Hagan, and Ray Dean Hagan.

Don is survived by his wife, Paula Hagan; one son, Ty Hagan of Tennessee; one daughter-in-law, Michelle Hagan of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother, Dan Hagan (Marylyn) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; four sisters, Sharron Wager of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Twila Hagan of Bishop, California, Beverly Lewis (Don) of Lake Havasu, Arizona, and Becky Read of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren, Joshua Hagan and Jordan Hagan; and one great-grandchild, Jackson Hagan.
