Dixie Lee (Fletchall) Fouche Obituary
Dixie Lee Fouche passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 around 10:15 am at her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She was the daughter of John Truman Fletchall and Carol Bair along with her siblings, Billy, Elda, Dick, and Carlyn, who all welcomed her into Heaven.
She leaves behind her brother, Larry of Arizona and sister, Regina of Colorado.
Dixie’s wishes were to be cremated, and have her ashes spread in Iowa on her grandson, Mike’s land. Date and Time yet to be determined.
Dixie was born in Mount Ayr, Iowa and died in Heber Springs Arkansas. She lived in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arizona, and Arkansas. Friends and family learned not to write her address in ink. Dixie, first of all, was a wonderful mother. In her younger years, she worked as a waitress and even owned a restaurant for a while. She was in sales (furniture and tires at Montgomery Wards), owned a furniture store in Iowa, and in later years, in Property Mgt (Apartment Manager, Hotel manager, RV Park Manager).
After high school, Dixie married Tomie Compton, an Airman in the Air Force at Forbes AFB in Topeka, Kansas. They had three children, Tomie Lee, Tina Marie and John Allen (wife Susie) . Dixie and Tomie separated, and then after a few years, she married Wesley Fouche who had one daughter, Julie. She had too many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to list.
Dixie loved everyone and especially her family, but she always let you know what she thought.
Some would say she was a bit ornery in a good way. Dixie will always be in our hearts, and she will be loved and missed.
