Diana Hipp Obituary

Diana Kay Cooper Hipp of Prim, Arkansas, was born in Webb City, Missouri, on January 28, 1963, to William (Bill) and Judith (Judy) Winters Cooper, Surrounded by those she loved most, she peacefully took leave of this imperfect world on July 12, 2021, to enter into the heavenly presence of her Lord and Savior. She fought the good fight; she lived the Christian life to the fullest, and now she is reaping the rewards of her labors.

Diana was a long-time and active member of the Woodrow Baptist Church and loved her Savior with all her heart. Over the years she taught children’s classes, not only by uplifting and proclaiming the Word of God, but by being a living example of that truth. And her homemade yeast rolls will definitely be missed at church gatherings!

On October 17, 1980, she married Tommy Lynn Hipp, the love of her life and her best and dearest friend and companion. Almost inseparable from the very beginning of their relationship, they spent many hours together, enjoying the same likes and interests. They were both car enthusiasts and she was especially proud of her yellow 2012 Camaro she called Tweety, a surprise present Tom bought especially for her. They shared a special bond and relationship that is rarely found in marriages today. The two truly did become one.

Tom and Diana’s marriage produced two sons, Brent Tommy Floyd and Shaun Lynn Hipp, both of Prim, and two precious grandchildren, Azriel Slaide and Gabriella Ilysse Hipp. Diana was also a mother to many other children that she took care of in her home and taught in Sunday School and church classes. Very strong and firm in her expectations, but also kind and compassionate, she earned the love and respect of those children and called all of them “her kids”. She had a profound influence on the lives of all those who were blessed to know her.

In the past few years, Diana was a home health aide. She took good care of her mom as well as Tom’s mom and showed that same compassion and love for all her clients.

Diana was preceded in death by a precious daughter, Amie Diana; precious granddaughter, Aurora Rose and her parents William (Bill) and Judith (Judy) Winters Cooper. In addition to her husband, sons and grandchildren, she is survived and will be missed greatly by her siblings: Donna Tinkle (Tim), William Cooper (Sheryl) and Debbie Meeks (Rick). Tom’s siblings: brother-in-law Chester Cornett, Marlene McCarty (B.W.), Sharon Kay Ashley (Houston), Kelly Hipp (Jean), Carolyn West, Wincie Cothren (Ric), Dewayne Hipp (Teresa), Brenda Jamison (George), Joe Hipp (Susan), Bill Hipp (Tonya), and Bobbie Richardson (Joey).

In some of the final words her doctor spoke of Diana, he called her “the Bionic Woman.” She was strong, brave, determined, faithful, loving, compassionate…irreplaceable. We all love you Diana!
