David Alan Hargis, age 53, of Pangburn, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at his home. He was born March 23, 1969 in Davenport, Iowa to the late James Hargis and Bulah Foster Hargis.

David is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Bonnie Chaffin; and a brother-in-law, Gary Chaffin; one niece, Brittany Hensley. 

He is survived by three sons, Brandon Alan Hargis of Oklahoma, Brian Hargis of Springdale, Arkansas, and Randy Hargis of Pangburn, Arkansas; two brothers, James Hargis (Glenda) of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Rick Hargis of Searcy, Arkansas; two sisters, Debra Hensley (Benjamin) of Hickory Flat, Arkansas, Kourtney Bauman (Donald) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family members and friends.

David loved fishing and hunting, driving on the backroads, bon fires with friends, and working on old cars. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life is planned for February 18, 2023 at Hickory Flat Fire Department. A meal for the family will be served at 12:00 pm.  Friends are welcome from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
