David Creasy Obituary

David Glenn Creasy, age 81, of Drasco, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024. He was born August 9, 1942 in the Oak Grove Community near North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Murvin Eugene Creasy and Ruth Lee (Harper) Creasy.

David retired from 40+ years of work at the North Little Rock Waste Water Utility Engineering Department where he forged friendships all across the city for decades. David also retired from 30+ years of service in the Arkansas National Guard. His time in the National Guard brought family friends and lifelong relationships that have spanned into the second generation of kids telling the stories of events that are best forgotten due to statute of limitation laws.

From live music at the shop to deer hunting the timber cutovers with good friends, David loved the corner of the world he lived in. In his retirement years, he relished drop-by visits from those just passing through or those just stopping in to check on him. David enjoyed his time with family and friends up to his last day.

David is preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert “Bob” Creasy.

He is survived by his two sons, Russell Creasy & Melanie Buergey of North Little Rock and son Marcus & wife Janet Creasy of Drasco; siblings, sister Dana Earnhart of Mayflower, sister Judy & husband Sam Shipley of Oakland, Florida, sister Jarla Collier of the Saltillo Community, brother Ken Creasy & wife Marianne Sinclair of Drasco, and sister Sharon Hoops of North Little Rock.

David is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jessica (Creasy) Landrum, Stephen Creasy, Zachary Creasy, Caleb Creasy and Jacob Creasy; and 1 great-grandchild Evie Katherine Creasy (Zachary).

A celebration of life will be held at 3pm, Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the Friendship Community Church at 1850 Dry Mountain Rd, Drasco, AR.
