Danny was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold D. Turney; one sister, Mary Lou Turney, Allen and his son, Timothy Grant Turney.

Danny is survived by his loving wife Rosalee Dorrance Turney; one son, Larry West (Lynette) of Drasco, Arkansas; three daughters, Lori West Green (Rick) of Hopewell, Arkansas, Donise Turney Bunch (Terry) of Bethesda, Arkansas, and Penny Turney Rolins (Carl) of Heber Springs, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, Frances, Rebecca, Kayla, Kora, Terren, Cody, Sami Mae, Madison, Maddie, Dani Rose, and David; four great-grandchildren, McKinley, Weston, Rylan, and Layton; and many other relatives and friends.

Danny was a 2nd father to several others, two daughters through the Exchange Student Program, Yurina (a - ti - kah) Morisawa of Japan. She stayed with the Turney’s during the 1992-93 school year, and Romana Chalupska of Czech Republic. She stayed with the Turney’s during the 1993-94 school year.

He was also a 2nd father to Kelly Whaley, Becky Lungaro, Sandy & Sissy Pearl, Cindy Smith, Paula Parkin, and Steve Liles.

Danny graduated from Concord High School. This is where he started his musical career. He was in the FFA Band along with Zendall Raney, Rod Liles, and Norman Norton. He was the rhythm guitar player and the band brought home the state title.

Danny later married the love of his life, Rosalee Dorrance Turney on July 22, 1965. They were married 56 years.

Danny had an extreme love for music and made music his career for 30 years playing bass and singing. When he quit working as a musician, he took care of his farm. Danny and Rosalee raised chickens and cattle. He did not, however, quit singing and playing altogether. He had a gospel trio with his girls Donise and Penny. They traveled to several churches spreading the Word of God. Danny was in the church band at Drasco General Baptist Church where he was a member for 65 years.

Danny loved music, he loved his church, he loved his family and friends. He was crazy about his grandchildren, but most of all, he loved his God!
