On Sunday, December 13, 2020, Charles Kerr, 87 years young, joined his family in heaven. He was born August 28, 1933 to the late Vernon and Martha Clay Kerr. He was an Air Force veteran proudly serving in the Korean War.
He had a love for his family, friends and life. He enjoyed fishing, flying, scuba diving, visiting with his family and friends and being a member of the American Legion and serving in the Honor Guard. He always loved a good joke and was quite a prankster. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor to know him. He was one of a kind and to sum up such a wonderful man in this short space is next to impossible.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hubert (Amy), Bill, and Wilcher Kerr, and Roy Williams.
Survivors include: his daughter Martha Jolley; granddaughter, Jaden Jolley; sisters, Mary (Ralph) Ausbrooks, Helen Williams,Lillian Kerr and Wanda Kerr; one brother, Edwin (Jan) Kerr; many nieces and nephews and dear friend Dimple.
Graveside Service will be 11:00 am Friday, December 18, 2020, at Centerpoint Church Cemetery in Quitman, Arkansas. Military Honors by the American Legion Post 64 of Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Arrangements are by Heber Springs Funeral Home, 1199 Wilburn Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks any donations be made in his honor to the American Legion Post 64, 49 Park Road, Heber Springs, AR, 72543. This wonderful group of folks was a second family to Charlie.
