Bonnie Ericson

Bonnie Ericson, age 94, passed away February 11, 2020, at Unity Health in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born November 29, 1925 in Arcadia, Kansas to the late Thomas and Edna Potter.  She married the love of her life, Gordon “Swede” Ericson in 1945. They moved from Kansas to Little Rock, Arkansas in 1966 and later retired to Heber Springs to enjoy life by the lake. Bonnie and Gordon were blessed with 54 years of marriage, which included lots of camping and fishing, before his passing in 1999. Bonnie was a hairdresser by trade and enjoyed shopping, sewing, and volunteering in the community. She was active in the church and in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Randy Ericson and his wife Sharon of Bryant, Arkansas; daughter in law, Jamye Ericson of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Chuck Ericson (Molly) of South Jordan, Utah, Heather Terrell (Lowell) of Lawrence, Kansas, Heath Ericson (Hope) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Grant Mills (Jackie) of West Hills  California, Madison Neville of Bryant, Arkansas and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Phillip Ericson, six sisters and one brother.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Tonya Tucker, of Heber Springs, who became like family in her love of and care for Bonnie, as well as all the staff and her many friends at Stonebridge Village in Heber Springs where Bonnie spent her last several years.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15, at 2:00 PM at Heber Springs Funeral Home. A visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will be at Cleburne County Memorial Garden.  The family requests memorial contributions be made to The Call in Cleburne County to help further their efforts to support foster and adoptive families in the community.
