Billie Jean Bailey

Mrs. Billie Jean Bailey, age 80, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Somerset Senior Living in Harrison. She was born October 26, 1939, in Mulberry, Kansas, the daughter of the late Bill and Laura Powell Nelson. She was of the Baptist faith and during her working years had been employed as a cook for the public schools.

She was an excellent cook and especially looked forward to preparing food during the holidays. She enjoyed gardening, attending to her flowers and canning food for her family. The  family commented that she was a heart-felt devout Christian who loved the Lord and all of her family.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Leon Bailey; her parents; one son, Ronnie Talley and one daughter, Carla Baldwin .

Survivors include her daughter, Stacy Dungan (Eric) of Alpena, Arkansas; one sister, Linda Temple (Herb) of Wichita, KS; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and many friends.

Due to the Covid-19 virus no public services will be held at this time.
