Obituary

Beverly June Bittle was born on February 25, 1936 in Marion, Indiana to Paul R. Soultz and Edna E. Ault Soultz. On March 13, 2023, she went home to see her savior Jesus Christ and Loy, the love of her life, whom she married July 2, 1960.  From early in their marriage, they committed their lives to Christ. Bev spent the rest of her life serving the Lord and her family.

Her family, church, restaurant customers, and the senior citizens of Cleburne County can tell you that Bev was best known as a wonderful cook. She worked for Cleburne County Aging for over 40 years.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son-in-law, Danny Stevenson; daughter-in-law, Mary Bittle; four sisters, Frances, Lois, Janet, and Marilyn; four brothers, J, Chuck, Dale, and Ray.

She is survived by one son, Chris Bittle of Fort Worth, Texas; daughters, Kim (Chris) Gordon of Searcy, Arkansas, Gina Davis and Kela Stevenson of Quitman, Arkansas, Joann (Eric) Decker of Bald Knob, Arkansas, and bonus daughter, Nanechka (Merlin) Sawyer of Carrollton, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marge and Phyllis; one brother Ronnie Lynn (Cathy); and four sisters-in-law, Jeanie, Lesta, Becky, Georgia Rae and many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank mom’s care team, Trish, Shannon, and Trisha with Arkansas Hospice and Shantela Scroggins for the compassionate care they provided. The care they gave was exceeded only by their love shown.

Visitation is from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Heber Springs Funeral Home. The funeral service is 10:00 am, Friday, March 17, 2023 at Heber Springs Funeral Home followed by the interment at Sunny Slope Cemetery in Edgemont, Arkansas. Officiated by Phil Bogear and Eric Decker.
