Bettie Holton, age 85, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at her residence. She was born January 2, 1936 in Ada, Oklahoma. She was a retired bookkeeper.


Bettie was very musical and loved playing the piano and the organ; and singing. She enjoyed boating and being on the lake. Bettie loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.


She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jimmy Ray Purifoy.


Survivors include two sons, Richard Keith Purifoy (Donna Lee) of Mabelvale, Arkansas, and Darrin Purifoy (Lori) of Lonoke, Arkansas; two daughters, Dawnie Gilson ( Kerry) of Bauxite, Arkansas, and Denise Purifoy of Little Rock, Arkansas; one step-son, David Holton of California; two-step daughters, Pattie Jo Cardis and Nancy Kay Douglas both of Chicago, Illinois; one sister, Mary Knight of Bakersfield, California; grandson, Steve Purifoy of Little Rock, Arkansas; eighteen grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; other extended relatives and many friends.
