Becky Milligan 79, of  Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away October 14, 2025. She was born in Dyess, Arkansas on December 28, 1945.

In her early teens, the family moved to Florida where she met “the one”. She was just sixteen years old when she married Wayne Milligan.  Tammy Milligan Minnick was born when Becky was seventeen years old. Becky, Wayne and Tammy lived in many different places while Wayne was in the Army. They were in Panama during the 1969 attempted coup. To Becky, it was a big adventure. She was fearless! Becky was a huge advocate for someone down on their luck struggling to make a change. She had a career in law enforcement as a probation and parole officer. She was tough, but fair. It was not uncommon for clients to greet her with a hug and a thank you. She was quick to call you out and in the next breath tell you how much she loved you and believed you could do better. Family didn’t leave her presence without hearing “I love you, be careful”. She lived for 11 years without her soulmate, Wayne, and she was ready to be reunited with him.

She was preceded in death by her wonderful parents, Obie and Alene Martin.

She leaves behind her daughter and son in law - Tammy and Sam Minnick, granddaughters Jana (Justin) Smith, and Jori Minnick, and great grandson Nathaniel Smith. Sisters - Barbara Miller (Mark Schweighoefer) and  Pat Martin. Brother in law - Flip (Theresa) Milligan. Sister in law - Sue Goode who preceded her in death. Nephew - Tim (Amy) Miller. And many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends that were really family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and residents of Stonebridge Assisted Living (especially her personal tattle-tale). They loved and cared for her greatly. Also the staff at Baptist Health Medical Center Heber Springs for caring for her and lovingly guiding the family through this difficult time. A celebration of all things Becky will be at a later time as we are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of her second great-grandchild!
