Barbara Jane Jones, age 77, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital North in Sherwood, Arkansas. She was born February 8, 1946 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to the late Elmer Allen and Isabelle Harriet Howell.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen K. Jones, her parents, two brothers, Elmer Dale Allen, and Kenneth Lloyd Allen; and two sisters, Imogene L Richardson and Betty Lee Thompson.

She is survived by one brother, Max Allen of the Pine Snag Community; and five sisters, Bonna Rhea Moller of Prosser, Washington, Annette K. Martin of Hattieville, Arkansas, Joyce Ellen Vandivor of the Pine Snag Community, Janelle S. Colvin of the Pine Snag Community, and June E. Weaver of the Pine Snag Community.

Barbara retired from Mineral Area College after many years serving as the Dean of Students. She was a huge Arkansas Razorback fan, cheering for the Hogs in every sport. Barbara loved to travel, being outdoors, spending time with her dogs, and reading poetry.
