Arthur “Bud” Albert Schroeder, age 94, of Drasco, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 8, 2024. He was born July 9, 1929 in Tomah, Wisconsin to Albert C. Schroeder and Alice Prell.

Bud is preceded in death by two sons, Shane Schroeder and Aaron Schroeder; his parents; and two sisters, Alice Darby and Marie Gegenfurtner.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Schroeder; two sons, Terry (Karen) Schroeder and Tim Schroeder; two daughters, Renee (Dan) Barden and Jeri Miller; daughter in law, Lynn Schroeder; step sons, Rich (Rhonda) Schroeder, Curtis (Cindy) Yotter, and Berry (Cindy) Yotter; step daughters, Tammy (Mike) Jones, and Barbara (Terry) Yotter; sister, Nancy Schroeder; 30 plus grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Everyone loved to hear Bud talk about his racing and fellow racers.  Bud enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, and a good old fashion man test. During his earlier years he worked as a farm equipment mechanic.   He and Loretta were married for 39 years during which time he owned and operated a Lawn and Garden, small engine repair service.  Upon retiring, Bud and Loretta enjoyed traveling across the United States and seeing the sites.  After several years of traveling, they settled in Arkansas.  He will be missed and the man tests will live on in his honor.
