Ardath LaLonde, 92 years old “Flew Away to Glory” from her earthly home in Pearson, Arkansas on Saturday, May 18, 2024. 

Ardath was born March 16, 1932 in Millington, Michigan to Lasker and Hilda Smith. She was a devout Christian and the best mother anyone could ever have.  She received her degree in Journalism and wrote a book about raising a handicapped child in the sixties and the prejudices and obstacles faced while doing so. She was incredibly talented and gifted in the arts. She was actively involved  in Los Altos Auxiliary and Special Olympics .

Ardath's last church membership was at Palestine Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.  She leaves behind three beloved children Jeffrey LaLonde, 68; Jennifer LaLonde, 66; and Pamela LaLonde, 65.

There will be a ‘Celebration of Life’ for Ardath on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Palestine Baptist Church in Pearson, Arkansas from 11:30am to 3:00pm.
