Anneliese Thering Armstrong, age 89, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born May 5, 1935 in Berlin, Germany to the late Alfred Thering and Elsa E.D. Kiesler.
Anneliese loved gardening, her wine, and cooking her favorite German foods for family and friends. She loved to shop, knit sweaters and other clothing, and loved to take care of all of her pets. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Ed Armstrong; her parents; two brothers, Alfred Thering and Arunst Thering; and one sister, Dorothrean Thering.
Anneliese is survived by her daughter, Chris Sinkutsch (William) of Heber Springs, Arkansas; granddaughter, Chelsey Neal-Collier; and great-granddaughter, Charley Neal; nephew, Peter Thering; and many extended family members and wonderful friends. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
