Andrew Washburn Smith Jr., age 85, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway, Arkansas. He was born on December 23, 1936 in Brush Valley, Pennsylvania to the late Andrew Washburn Smith Sr. and Janet Miller Smith. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Little Rock. 

Andy served our great nation in the United States Army. He retired from Alltel of 38 years. He married his love, Lillie Birdsong-Shepherd on March 18, 1994. He adored his wife and loved spending time with her. He also loved being with his grandchildren and with his own children along with friends and his little dog, Cosmo. A few of his favorite things to do was to go fishing along with travelling, especially to Florida and Branson. He loved to sing in the choir and read Christian books. He also loved being a part of helping his wife sale jewelry. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Janet Smith; and one brother, Roger Smith.

Andy is survived by his wife, Lillie; three sons, Mitch Smith (Becky) of Pennsylvania, Mike Smith (Trish) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Stacy Courtney of Greenbrier, Arkansas; three daughters, Tina Bryant (Timmy) of Pangburn, Arkansas, Karen Norris (Bobby) of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Lanita Shepherd (Elizabeth) of Little Rock, Arkansas; mother in law, Mildred Lynn of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Vanessa Smith, Shawn Smith (Keeley), T.J. Bryant (Tiff), Tara Barry (Tim), Josh Courtney (Jennifer), and Brittany Wood (Scott); twelve great-grandchildren, Kayla, Bryce, Lillie, Aaron, Melanie, Caleb, Timothy, Millie, Paisley, Jailyn, Sylor, and Daisy. Along with many friends and family. 

Andy's wish was to be cremated and to not have a service. Out of respect for him, his wife and children have honored his request.
