Virginia Jones Obituary
Virginia Louise Jones, age 76, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away January 13, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family and her Pastor, Brother Tony Criswell. She was born February 1, 1943, in Fortville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Raymond and Maybelle Chappel Jones. She was a homemaker and attended Sugarloaf Baptist Church.
Virginia worked along side her husband with Mobile Baptist Builders and being a great cook, she was in charge of all the evening meals. She was a great wife and mother. She raised two children while her husband was serving our country in Vietnam.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Ronnie; three sisters, Georgiana, Sharon and Nita.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Gary P. Jones, who she married September 23, 1961; one daughter, Cynthia Lee Blair (Erick) of Southhaven, Mississippi; one son, Aaron J. Jones (Sherri) of Atoka, Tennessee; Granddaughers, Bonnie Foster of Heber Springs and Heather Hicks of Southhaven, Mississippi, and grandson Erick Blair, Jr. (Darla) of Southhaven, Mississippi; four great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Sugarfoaf Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Criswell officiating. A visitation will be held beginning at 1:00 PM until service time.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Heber Springs Humane Society.
