Travis Reed Obituary

Travis Lee Reed, age 38, passed away July  2018 in Cleburne County, Arkansas. He was born November 18, 1979, in Batesville, Arkansas to Tammy Payne Callaway and Joe Reed. He attended Concord Public Schools. He worked as a welder for Custom Dock Builders in Heber Springs. Travis loved his family and his friends. He never met a stranger. He was a creative, beautiful person with an enormous heart an amazing ability to empathize with people who were suffering. He spent the last part of his life helping others in need, witnessing to them about his experience, and sharing his faith. Travis had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.

He was preceded in death by his grandparent's Joe and Jackie Payne, His grandfather Wendell Reed, and his great grand parents, Alice and Norman Thomason. He is survived by this son, Liston Reed; mother, Tammy Callaway; step-father, Bill Callaway; sister Jennifer Cousins; his nephews Bryar and Braxton Cousins; his father Joe Reed; grandmother Betty Reed; and much extended family.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Travis touched are invited to the Westside First Baptist Church, 7025 Greers Ferry Road, Greers Ferry, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, to reminisce, grieve and celebrate the life of Travis Reed. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to The Other Side, Wilburn, Arkansas.
