Sharon Kay (Lewis) Marines

Sharon Kaye (Lewis) Marines died peacefully in Heber Springs Baptist Hospital on November 13, 2017 in Heber Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 69, after a valiant battle against cancer. Her devotion to her family and her spiritual connection with God carried her and ultimately gave her peace.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Bruce Marines; her brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Barb Lewis; her sons and daughter-in-law: Edward and Reva Nelson and Matt Nelson; her daughters and sons-in-law: Amanda and Corky Rowlett, Karen Nelson, and Tammy and Darrell Wood; her grandchildren Rachel Tedford and her husband, Phillip, Dustin Nelson, Josh Nelson, Elizabeth Nelson, Sarah Nelson, Scotty Wood, and Michael Wood; one great-grandchild, Valerie Tedford;  and extended family members: Janie and Bear Ellis, Carla and Ernie Swan, Wayne and Tik Ward, James Ward, Janet and Everett Steinke, Maxine and Melvin Meeks, Brenda and Charles Tackett, and Martha Nelson.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Jane Adams; her father, Henry “Pete” Wesley Lewis; her sister, Dorothy Mae (Jones) Wood; her son, Allen E. Nelson; and Bennie Eugene Jones.

Sharon was blessed with a large and loving family. She was a kind and soft-spoken person with an unending love for her family, friends and animals. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate her full life and the fact that she is at peace now with God. Her memories will forever be carried by all that knew her, and we all know that it's never a goodbye. It's just until next time.
