Roy Clifton Coleman

Mr. Roy Clifton Coleman, age 73, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away April 16, 2019 at White County Medical Center in Searcy, Arkansas. Born March 2, 1946 in Tipton County, Tennessee he was the son of the late Johnny Talmer and Allie L. Coates Coleman. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the Shelby Forest Baptist Church in Millington, Tennessee. He served as Deputy Sheriff for some thirty years in Memphis, Tennessee and loved his job.

Mr. Coleman never met a stranger, was a practical joker and a good friend to many. He was also a mentor to his family and friends, a good husband, father and grandfather and he dearly loved his grandchildren.  He was a member of Sugarloaf Lodge #414 in Heber Springs, Arkansas and was a Scottish Rite Mason in Memphis, Tennessee.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Clark Coleman of Heber Springs, AR whom he married January 18, 1980; daughter, Jennifer Paige James (Jeffrey) of Heber Springs, AR; brother, J. T. Coleman of Millington, TN; two sisters, Rita Yarbro (Randy)  and Ginger Roberts (Paul) both of Millington, TN; two grandchildren, Cade Coleman James and Callie Claire James and many friends.

There will be a visitation 4:00 to 6:30 pm, Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. There will also be a visitation held from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, Friday, April 19, 2019 at Munford Funeral Home, 7450 Raleigh Millington Road, Millington, Tennessee.
