Regan Irwin Scott, age 72, of Wilburn, Arkansas passed away August 8, 2019 at Unity Health in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born August 7, 1947 in Boone, Iowa, he was the son of the late Robert Irwin and Mildred Choate Scott. He was a retired Lieutenant with the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Department. He spent 35 years with the Sheriff’s Department. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War with the 101 Airborne.
His hobbies included fishing, duck hunting, serving as a fishing guide on the Little Red River, playing dominoes, playing golf and playing baseball. He loved his family and friends.
Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Janet Willis.
Survivors include his wife Cathy Ann Butterworth Scott whom he married March 30, 1971; two daughters, Crystal Scott(Tyrone Williams) of North Little Rock, AR and Robin Thomas of Pangburn, AR; one son, Regan Robert Irwin Scott III (Amanda) of Wilburn, AR; one sister, Lynn Berretti of West Memphis, AR; grandchildren, Michael Z. Haggard, Tyler Stowe, Regan Robert Edward Scott IV, Ethan Scott, Cheyenne Thomas, McKenzie Thomas and Hunter Thomas; one great-grandchild, Ally Haggard and many friends.
There will be a visitation 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday, August 12, 2019 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Center Chapel Cemetery, Wilburn, Arkansas. The American Legion Post 64 of Heber Springs, Arkansas will conduct Military Honors.
