Melbourne Luvea Herring

Melbourne Luvea Good Herring died July 12, 2017 at Southridge Nursing Home in Heber Springs. Born January 26, 1927 in Memphis, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Harvey M. and  Thelma Luves Montgomery Good. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs.

Melba enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and crocheting, gardening and taking care of her flowers. She was very active in TOPS (take off pounds sensibly) .

She was preceded in death her parents; her  husband, Brant Herring; one daughter, Sarah Winberry; one great-grandson, Harry Robinson, Jr.; two brothers, Robert Roy Good and Harvey Good.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Marion Bolton and husband Dale of Marion, Arkansas and Kathryn  Gifford and husband Paul of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two sons, Harvey Herring and wife Tissie of Nesbitt, Mississippi and Mike Herrring and wife Kelly of Houston, Arkansas; one sister, Mary Francis Campbell of Olive Branch, Mississippi; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and many friends.

A visitation will be held 1:00 pm prior to the  Memorial Service
at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs.  Interment will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Forrest Hills Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee with Rev. Tommy Toombs officiating.
