Martin Lyle Geissler

Martin Lyle Geissler, age 76, of Quitman, Arkansas passed away May 22, 2017 in Conway. Born December 12, 1940 in Wendell, Idaho he was the son of the late Carl Martin and Marena Royce Geissler. Martin was a member of Our Sheperd Lutheran Church in Searcy and a US Army Veteran  with twenty years of service. He also was employed by the Arkansas Highway Department for fifteen years before retirement.

He loved camping, trout fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Los Angles Dodgers fan.  He loved road trips with his grandchildren and also loved his dog Scooter.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Francis Charles Geissler.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Sue Davidson Geissler whom he married June 24, 1983; one son, Jeffery Charles Geissler of Twin Falls, Idaho; two daughters, Lisa Bobo and husband Lud of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Jamie Stover and husband Byron of Star City, Arkansas; three sisters, Dixie Jackson of Hagerman, Idaho, Cassie Jones and husband Bill of Hailey, Idaho and Leah Renn and husband Buzz of Jerome, Idaho; four grandchildren, Brandi Wooldridge and husband Matt, Jason Bobo and wife Jessie, Justin Bobo and Ethan Stover; four great-grandchildren; several nieces , nephews and many friends.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Heber Springs Funeral Home with visitation from 1:00 pm to service time.

A private full military service will be held 11:00 am, June 1, 2017 at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Arrangements are by Heber Springs Funeral Home. Online obituary: www.heberspringsfuneralhome.com
