Lillian "Rooney" Bettis

Lillian (Rooney) Bettis, born January 30, 1946, age 72 of Quitman, Arkansas died Friday, July 20 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Lillian, a homemaker for much of her life, enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren which were the loves of her life. Lillian is survived by her husband of 55 years, Alvin Ray Bettis, one daughter Angela Kay Bettis and partner Diane Reynolds of Greenbrier, AR; two sons, Jeffrey Ray Bettis and Steven Dale Bettis both of Quitman, Arkansas; two brothers, Claud Jr. Dickerson of Olustee, Ok and David Dickerson of Granite, OK; two sisters, Karen Peters of Van Buren, AR and Beverly Kennedy of Poteau, OK; seven grandchildren; LaShainea Pollander, Nykki Allred, Kyle Bettis, Ryan Bettis, Cody Bettis, Faith Bettis and Shay Stroud and five great-grandchildren: Zander Via, Altas Bettis, Brayleigh Allred, Kade Stroud and Grayson Pollander.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Hazel Dickerson and two brothers, Roger Dickerson and Jimmy Dickerson and a sister, Janis Hume.

A visitation service will be held July 23, 2018, beginning at 9 am followed by a memorial service at 11 am at the Heber Springs Funeral Home in Heber Springs.
