Jean Marlene Naylor

Jean Marlene Naylor, age 81, of Quitman, Arkansas passed away June 26, 2017. Born July 5, 1935 in Lincoln, Illinois she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Eunice Naomi Shyer Vandevender. She was a retired employee of the Illinois Secretary of State’s office.

Jean was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and the Cleburne County Extention Homemakers.

Her hobbies included making crafts, sewing, quilting, she loved to travel and visit with family, grandchildren and great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Scott; daughter, Melody Reed; brothers, Hershel and Clifford Vandevender; children’s father, Frank Naylor, Sr. and one step-son, Douglas Scott and a sister, Fern Sotzen.

Survivors include: three daughters, Tracey Hutchinson of Heber Springs, AR; Penny Patton and husband Steve of Vienna, Illinois, Beverly Parker of Hopewell, AR; 18 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 28 great and step great children     and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at South Crossroads Church in Hopewell, Arkansas with Brother Kenneth Rowland officiating. There will be a visitation at Fricke-Calvert-Schraber Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski, Illinois Friday, June 30, at 5:00 pm. Graveside service will be Saturday, July 1, at 10:00 am at Mt.
