Camilla Faye Hughes

Mrs. Camilla “Faye” Riggs Hughes age 76 of Heber Springs passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Unity Health Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas. Born February 15, 1942 in Monette, Arkansas she was the daughter of the late D. S. and Bernice Howell Riggs. She was employed as a secretary for Tumbling Shoals Water Department until her retirement. Faye was of the Baptist faith.

Her family stated she had a wonderful outgoing personality, was a good cook, loved to shop and most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Faye graduated from high school in Benton Harbor, Michigan in June of 1961

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Royce Riggs and one step-son Timothy Hughes.

Survivors include her husband Delton “Del” Hughes; one son, Brian Crawford (Teresa) of Drasco, Arkansas; one step-son, Paul Hughes (Lisa) of Romance, Arkansas; two step-daughters, Veneicia Price (Ernie) of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas and Marla Cook (David) of Judsonia, Arkansas; one brother, Wayne Riggs of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one sister, Sue Boren (Chan) of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Matt Barger (Danitria) of Drasco, Arkansas and Derrick Barger (Elizabeth) of Morganton, Arkansas ; two great-granddaughters, Caitlyn and Addi; several step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews and many friends.  

A visitation is planned for 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, February 11,2019 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at South Side Baptist Church, Heber Springs, Arkansas with a visitation from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Terry Mote and Rev. Elwin Ollar will officiate. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery Drasco, Arkansas. Online Obituary: www.heberspringsfuneralhome.com
