Zane D. Hipp age 73, passed away at home April 21, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. He was born December 21, 1937 to the late Floyd and Lorene Stubbs Hipp. He loved hunting and fishing and spent most of his life driving a truck. He was a member of the Woodrow Baptist Church in Prim, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ashley Hipp; three children, Steve Hipp, Debbie Verser, and Chris Hipp all of Prim, AR; four grandchildren, Austin Verser, and Sarah Verser of Edgemont, Kayla Hipp of Greers Ferry, AR, Megan Hipp of Batesville, AR and one great-granddaughter, Alliyah Grace Lyons of Batesville, AR; five brothers, Kelly Hipp, Dewayne Hipp, Joe Hipp, Bill Hipp, Tom Hipp; seven sisters, Marlene McCarty, Margerite Cornett, Kay Ashley, Brenda Jamison, Bobbie Richardson, Carolyn West and Wincie Cothern.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lorene Hipp.
Visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2011 from 6-8 pm at the Woodrow Baptist Church in Prim, AR. A Funeral will be held 10:00 am, Saturday April 23, 2011 also at the church. Interment will follow at the Verser Cemetery in Prim, AR. All arrangements are under the direction of the Heber Springs Funeral Home.
