Walter Andrew King, Jr.
Walter Andrew King, Jr., age 76, of Ida, Arkansas passed away December 30, 2007 at Baptist Health Center in Heber Springs. Born February 19, 1931, in Heber Springs, he was the son of the late Jessie Mae Boyer King and Walter Andrew King, Sr. He worked in farming most of his life and was of the Pentecostal faith.
He enjoyed playing checkers as a hobby.
He is survived by three brothers, J.C. King and Audley Jack King of Heber Springs, Arkansas and David King of Salem, Arkansas; four sisters, Imogene Downs of Albry, Missouri, Wincie Moody of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Lorine Allen of Garner, Arkansas and Betty Sue Hughes of McRae, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Paul Hughes, Gary Wood, Duke Shepard, Steven White, Jack King, James King, Andy Price, Randy Shepard, J.C. King, Robert Allen, Jeb Henson, Rickie King and Jeff Henson.
Visitations hours are 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at Heber Springs Cemetery with Rev. John Roberts officiating.
