WWII Navy Veteran

Victor Anthony Lackovic, age 85, of Heber Springs passed away
September 18, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Born May
25, 1924 in Joliet, Illinois, he was the son of the late Mary
Marjasevich and Vid Lackovic. He was a member of St. Albert's Catholic
Church in Heber Springs, a U.S Navy WWII veteran, and retired metal
fabricator employed by Line Tool in Arlington Heights, Illinois for
many years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Heber
Springs American Legion. His hobbies included dancing with his beloved partner Bobbie Russell and visiting with his many friends at the Sugar Loaf Folk Center and Heber Springs Senior Center and he enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Lackovic; one brother,
William Lackovic and two sisters, Catherine Landsinger and Jean Malek.
Survivors include his daughter, Phyllis Lackovic - Vazzano and husband
Sam Vazzano of Heber Springs along with many loved relatives and precious friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at
Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial services will be 10:00
a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2009 at St. Albert?s Catholic Church in
Heber Springs with Father John Agbakwuo officiating.
