Victor Roland Kerlen, age 74, passed away June 1, 2011 in Almond, Arkansas. He was born March 30, 1937 in Almond, Arkansas to Duard and Mildred Kerlen. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years as a mechanic, working over seas in Saudi Arabia and Turkey working with different airlines and oil companies. He love to fish and hunt and was an avid reader. He was a member of the Concord Family Worship Center in Concord, AR.
He is survived by his wife, Christine L. Kerlen of the home in Almond, AR; two sons, Robert Kerlen of Little Rock, AR and Jeffery Kerlen of Batesville, AR; one step-son, Terry Allender; one daughter, Vickie Terry of Batesville, AR; four step-daughters, Lois Wilkerson and husband Wayne of Sherwood, AR, Becky West and husband William of Jacksonville, AR, Tammy Decker of Searcy, AR and Tina Crockett and husband David of Jacksonville, AR; one brother, Garland Kerlen and wife Virginia of Troy, Missouri, and one sister, Beverly Mahan of Greenbriar, AR. He is also survived by three grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Duard and Mildred Kerlen.
A funeral service will be held Friday June 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Heber Springs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Concord Cemetery. Please sign online guestbook at
