Velvadean Demaris Davis, 78 of Heber Springs went to be with the Lord Friday, January 27, 2012. She was born May 4, 1933 to the late Olen and Nora Cates. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Clyde Gray, a grandson Marcus Gray, and a sister Hilda Fortino.
She is survived by a daughter Deborah Berberich, a son Richard Gray and wife Sharon; her grandchildren, Loretta Hewitt, Chris Gray and wife Susan, Gena Bias and husband Jason; great grandchildren, Anthony Gray, Christie Brewer, Caden Russell; great-great grandchildren Arianna Gray, Destiny Gray, Marcus Brewer; sister Ola Sandavol and brothers, Melton and Norman Cates; numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Heber Springs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in the Chapel of Heber Springs Funeral Home with interment following the services at Center Point Cemetery in Quitman.
