Thelma “Sis” Baldwin (April 30, 1917 - January 29, 2012)
Mrs. Baldwin, 94, of Heber Springs, AR died Sunday Morning. Lovingly known as Sis, Mom and Mawmaw, she will be greatly missed. She is remembered for being an amazing cook, seamstress and beautician. While her sewing and knitting won blue ribbons, her pies and rolls won “blue ribbons” with her family! Married for 57 years to Sidney Baldwin who preceded her in death, the inseparable couple enjoyed traveling, friends and many memorable times with their grandchildren. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Gail Baldwin, 4 grandchildren; Beth Baldwin of Heber Springs, Stacey (Jim) Hammons of Little Rock, Bill (Lisa) Baldwin of Knoxville, TN, and Lynda Gail (Chad) Teague of Newark, AR, 7 great-grandchildren; Josh, Sydney, Kaleigh, Carley, Will, Abby and Colt as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Heber Springs, AR and her Fidelas Sunday School class. The family has requested any memorials be made to the First Baptist Church.
