Stanley Douglas (Doug) King, age 62, of Concord passed away Sunday, April 4, 2011. Stanley was born October 11, 1948 in Middletown, Ohio to parents, Riley Ruben King and Samantha Merle Miller-Jeffrey. He is preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Shirley King and Viola Jean.
Doug is survived by his ex-wife, Yevette King. He is survived by four sons, Stanley Douglas King Jr., James Douglas King, Timothy Ray King, and Matthew Brian Madden; three son-in-laws, Mark Cantrell, J D Clutter, and Jason Byer; three daughters, Victoria Lynn Byer, Heather Marie Cantrell, Samantha Jannette Clutter; four daughter-in-laws, Elissia Leigha King, Denise King, Shilo King, and Channing Clark. Stanley is also survived by brothers, Timothy Dale Collins and Raymond Collins.
Surviving grandchildren include: Andy and Michael Swain, Jasmine,
Desiree, Jalaine, and Darrett King, Treyser, Brody, Daleyna, and Britley
King, Hunter and Blaze Cantrell, Christina Stone, Paula and Megan
Clarke, Aliya and Caitlen Porter, and Stanley Douglas King III, and great
granddaughter, Camryn Sawin.
Doug was an US Army verteran having served with distinction in the Vietnam War. His several decorations include Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star with valor, and the Purple Heart.
Doug also loved to fish, hunt, work in his garden or in his greenhouse, mow his lawn, play with his grandkids, and irritate their parents.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, 12:00 noon, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
