Gerald Bernard Santel age 75 passed away October 20, 2011 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born February 20, 1936 to Alfred and Amelia Santel in Reading, Ohio. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Army as a courier guard at the Pentagon. He was also retired from Proctor and Gamble after 34 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs, AR, and a member of the Pairs and Spares Sunday school class.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Amelia Santel, one brother, Charles Santel, and one sister, Ruth Preston.

He is survived by his wife Ann Beggs Santel of Heber Springs, AR, one son, Jeffrey Santel and wife Laurie, two daughters, Vickie Stanforth and husband David, and Angela Reed and husband Phillip, seven grandchildren, Kevin, Victoria and Maria Santel, Sabrina and Erica Stanforth and Karen and Danielle Reed.

A Visitation will be held Sunday October 23, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the Heber Springs Funeral Home. A Funeral will be held Monday October 24, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs, AR., at 10:00 a.m.

Donations in memory of Mr. Santel can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
