Pierce Easterling, age 89, passed away January 29, 2010 in Heber Springs, AR. He was born December 29, 1920 in Charleston, South Carolina to Pierce and Abbie Easterling.
He was a Army Veteran and also a certified welder retiring in 1982. He was also a member of the V.F.W and a member of the Apostolic Church of Heber Springs.
He is survived by one son James Easterling of Buma, TX, one step-son Ray Byrd of Heber Springs, one daughter Sherry Fain of VanBuren, AR, eight step-daughters; Jean Lewis, Helen Rasch, Diana Shane, Doris Williams, Wana Weber, Paticia Berry, Teresa Ratcliff, and Faye Nelson. Also one brother George Easterling of TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pierce and Abbie Easterling, his wife Effie Easterling, three brothers, one stepson, Edward Byrd, and one step daughter, Joan Lee.
A visitation was held Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 at the Apostolic Church in Heber Springs, AR. A Funeral service was held Monday, February 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Church.
