Wilma Jane Kemp

Wilma Jane “Kratz” Kemp, age 73, of Heber Springs passed away August 28, 2017 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Born May 3, 1944 in Malvern, Arkansas she was the daughter of the late Fred and Opal Hohrine Kratz. Wilma was a member of Sugar Loaf Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She loved children and did child care in her home for many years. She loved gardening, sewing, baking and was very active in church work. She dearly loved her family.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Kemp; her parents, Fred and Opal Hohrine Kratz and one sister, Theida Mosley.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Kevin Kemp and wife Michele of Little Rock, Arkansas and Allan Kemp and wife Danette of Fordyce, Arkansas; one daughter, Lisa Kroening and husband Brian; four brothers, Hollis Kratz and wife Jean of Malvern, Arkansas; Emerson Kratz and wife Cynthia of Saltillo, Texas; Lewis Kratz and wife Diana of Malvern, Arkansas and Steve Kratz and wife Carol of Malvern, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Steven Mosley of Benton, Arkansas; eight grandchildren and many, many friends.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Friday, September 1, 2007 at Heber Springs Funeral Home with visitation starting at 10:00 am until service time. Officiating is Brother Tony Criswell, pastor of Sugar Loaf Baptist Church. Interment will be 4:00 pm, Friday after the funeral in Stoney Point Cemetery in Fordyce, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Sugar Loaf Baptist Church Youth Fund or Beech Grove Baptist Church Youth Fund.
