Lindell Pete Martin

Lindell E. (Pete) Martin age 80, of Heber Springs passed away April 2, 2017. Born April 6, 1936 in Boss, Missouri he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Mable Hedrick Martin. He attended Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Heber  Springs.

During his working years he worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company in East Peoria, Illinois and Rural Special School in Fox, Arkansas from 1975 to 1999 until retirement. 

His main hobbies were fishing and hunting.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Lee Martin, and two sisters, Mary Lou Davis and Carolyn Fenner and a brother, Edward Martin. 

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Vada Lockard Martin whom he married February 18, 1956; daughter, Kathelene Dillon (Larry) of Heber Springs; two sons, Kenneth Martin (Kimmie) of Heber Springs and Karl Martin (Becky) of Drasco, AR; three brothers, Eugene Martin of Pekin, Illinois, Laverne Martin (Bonnie) of South Pekin, Illinois and Johnny Martin (Jennie) of Pekin, Illinois; three sisters, Joann Nichols of Boss, Missouri, Geraldene Clauson (Ronnie) of Machhnaw, Illinois and Glenda Towery (David) of South Pekin, Illinois: two grandchildren, Kesha Dillon and Adam Martin; three great-grandchildren, Jett Martin,  Katie and Conner Dillon  and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Hank Verser, Don Gauvey, Sam Salter, Bruce Southerland, Jeff Musselman and Lynn Lockard. Honorary pallbearers are Conner Dillon and Jett Martin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Hilltop Holiness Church in Prim, Arkansas with Brother Dennis Knapp and Brother Easter Bass Officiating. Visitation hours will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, April 4,2017 at Heber Springs Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunny Slope Cemetery. Online obit heberspringsfuneralhome.com
