Donald Lee Young

Donald Lee Young age 80 of Heber Springs passed away December 5, 2016 at his residence. Born September 15. 1936 in Salisaw, Oklahoma he was the son of the late Arvie and Maudie Richardson Young. He was president and owner of Consolidated Landscaping for many years.

Mr. Young attended University of Oklahoma in Norman. He was president of CLCA, president of Green Valley Country Club and president of Builders Exchange in California.

He enjoyed playing golf and spent as much time as he could on the golf course. He loved boating, fishing, traveling and spending time with his friends. Don and Shirley both had work as fund raisers for Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son Donald Curtis DeWitt.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Shirley Newboles Young whom he married February 20, 1980; one son, Donald Allen Young of Napa, CA; two daughters, Theresa Polastri of Connecticut and Karen Fletcher of California; three step-daughters, Rebecca Pruitt of Heber Springs, Teresa Lueker of Heber Springs and Lisa Hann of Lathrop, California; brothers, Jim Young of California, Carl Young of Missouri, Bobby Young and Michael Young both of Washington; sister, Debbie Harka of Hawaii; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and many friends. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
