Martha Delilah “Mossy” Spinks West, age, 95 went to be with the Lord, peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on November 3, 2010 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She was born October 15, 1915 in Drasco, Arkansas to Elgin and Lena Reed Spinks. Martha was a homemaker, and enjoyed the peace and joy of a Christian life. She always saw the beauty in God’s creations, especially people. She touched many lives with her kindness and goodness. She was a member of the The Christian Lighthouse Church in Drasco, Arkansas.
Martha is survived by her husband of 74 years, John West, married on September 1, 1936; three sons, John E. West and wife Shirley, Tommy West and wife Patty, Carl West and wife Tresa all of Drasco, Arkansas; one daughter, Jane Kever of Heber Springs, Arkansas; five sisters, Bonnie McCullough of Madera, California, Betty Calloway of Clovis, CA, Irene Smith of Los Banos, CA, Robbie McKeever of Ben Lomond, CA, Bessie Elmore of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren, Barbara Engler, Darrell West, Mel West, Travis West, Missy Woods, Shawnna Johnson, Joedi Porter, Johnny West, Darryl Hicks, Brandy Koski, Tommy West; 16 Great-grandchildren, Tyler West, Ashton Woods, Anna Engler, Cameron West, Savannah Woods, Noelle West, Christen Johnson, Carly Woods, Bronwyn Kent, Josie West, Abi West, Everett Koski, Dylan Koski, Graham West, Ty West, Troy West; 2 Great- Great Grandchildren, Noah West and Hadasah West.
She is preceded in death by her parents Elgin B. and Lena Jane Spinks; two brothers, Ray Spinks, Albert Spinks, Two sisters Marie Studdard, and Ruby Frazel.
