Lisa Lynne Shepard age 45, passed away April 20, 2010 in Searcy, Arkansas after a long courageous battle with cancer. Lisa was born November 26, 1964 in Jacksonville, Arkansas to A.E. Person Jr. and Betty Person Rowin.
Lisa was employed by Wal-Mart in Heber Springs and made many friends while working there. Her outgoing personality and quick wit endeared her to many people. She also had campaigned tirelessly against spousal abuse, and was a member of the Christian faith. She was a gourmet cook and loved planning special meals for friends and family. Her special recipe for chocolate brownies was enjoyed by many. Lisa will always be remembered and loved for her wonderful spirit and the ability in accepting the things she could not change.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Shepard Jr. of the home; three sons, Bryan Person of Conway, Donovan and Nicholas Shepard of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two daughters, Heather Aleshire of Little Rock, Arkansas and Jonna Rogers of Camp Pendleton, California; her parents, Jimmie C. and Betty Person Rowin of Greers Ferry, Arkansas; one brother, Brent Person of Laverne, Oklahoma; one sister, Carol Rounsaville of Mabelvale, Arkansas; and one grandson Sean Rogers of Camp Pendleton, California. She is also survived by a special niece, Brandy Brewer Harris, and many, many friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents and her father.
A visitation will be held Thursday April 22, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Heber Springs Funeral Home in Heber Springs, Arkansas. A Graveside will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, April 23, at the Beebe Cemetery in Beebe, Arkansas. Please sign online guestbook at www.heberspringsfuneralhome.com.
