Lee Edwin Martin, 23 passed away December 15, 2009 in Batesville, Ar. He was born May 28, 1986, to Karl and Rebecca Martin in Searcy, AR. Baseball was his passion and he was drafted in 2006 in the 18th round by the Minnesota Twins. He played in Florida, and in Tennessee in 2007. He was also a member of the Sunny Slope Church in Greers Ferry, AR.
He is survived by one son, Jett Martin of Heber Springs, AR, his parents, Karl and Rebecca Martin of Drasco, Ar, his grandparents, L.E. Martin and Vada Martin of Heber Springs, Ar, and a grandmother Georgia Decker of Heber Springs, AR. and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather F. L. Decker and a cousin Seth Decker.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the Chastain Chapel Family Life Center in Tumbling Shoals, AR from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 18, 2009 at the Concord High School Gymnasium at 2:00 p.m. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Jett Martin fund in c/o State Farm Lewis Lee. All arrangements are under the direction of the Heber Springs Funeral Home in Heber Springs, AR.
