Julius James Martens, age 92 passed away January 22, 2011 in Lakeland, Tennessee. He was born August 14, 1918 in Sedalia, Missouri to Oscar and Vena Martens. He served his country for 21 years in the Navy Seabees. He was a family man, who loved fishing, golfing, and was a member of the Sugarloaf Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Emma Martens of Lakeland, Tennessee;two daughters, Sharon Chandler and husband Pete of Keen, Texas; Linda Mothershed and husband Glen of Memphis, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Sharon’s daughters, Karen and Tammy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Vena Martens.
