Johnny Lee Davis, age 71, of Heber Springs, Arkansas went to be with the Lord July 23, 2011 at Baptist Health Care in Heber Springs. He was a sub-contractor and contracted with telephone companies to do line splicing. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Johnny was a collector of old telephones and loved to work on them as well. He enjoyed flea markets and dearly loved his grandchildren. His family stated he was truly a Godly man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald W. Davis and Mary Emma Roberts Davis and two brothers, Franky and Fane Davis.
Survivors include his friend, Wincie Moody of Heber Springs, AR; son, James King of Heber Springs, AR; daughter, Jennifer Blanchard of Heber Springs, AR; three brothers, Jackie, Bruce and Terry Davis all of Marshall, North Carolina.; two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Roberts officiating. Visitation hours will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Heber Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: James Gramling, Rudy Ridenour, Randy Shepard, Duke Shepard, Gary Woods, Paul Hughs and Jack Blanchard.
