Irene W. Carter, age 81 passed away March 3, 2010 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She was born July 11, 1928 in Manford, Oklahoma to Basil and Rilla West. She was a homemaker, a loving sister who spent many days helping to raise her younger siblings. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
She is survived by three sisters; Helen Bridges of Coal Hill, Arkansas, Phyllis Stephens, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Jemmie Louise Huff, of Heber Springs, Arkansas. She is also survived by one daughter-in-law, Andrea Wimmer of Pennsylvania, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Basil and Rilla West, her husband Graham Miller, and Leonard Carter, also one son, Paul Wimmer, four brothers and six sisters.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In Lieu of flowers memorial may be made to your favorite charity.
