Irene Alta (Verser) Beasley, age 83, of Heber Springs passed away at her residence June 5, 2010. Born November 25, 1926 in Brownsville, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Gertie Parrott Verser and Owen Verser. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Heber Springs. Irene was employed for several years at the Glove Cooperation , later worked for Ely Walker Shirt Factory and retired from Skill. She enjoyed working puzzles as a hobby. She had written how she dearly loved her family. She had many friends and enjoyed spending time with them as well. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Victor Beasley whom she married December 21, 1946. Mr. Beasley passed away June 5, 2003. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Leo, Bill and Theo Verser. Pallbearers are Kent Latch, Randy Tapley, David Verser, Ricky Verser, Greg Verser and Jeff Jarvis. Honorary pallbearers are Loy Bartlett, Wes Williams, Craig Wood, Jeremy Monk and Harold Verser. Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Jean Monk of Quitman, AR and Jan Treat and husband Lynn of Bee Branch, AR; son, Gary Beasley and wife, Susie of Greers Ferry, AR; sister, Jackie Tapley of Greenbrier, AR; three grandchildren, Tammy Williams and husband Wes of Greenbrier, AR, Brooke Wood and husband Craig of Damascus, AR and Jeremy Monk of Quitman, AR; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Crisler of Damascus, AR and Brixton Williams of Greenbrier, AR; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, June 7, 2010 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the funeral home with Dr. Robert Linderman, Rev. George Petry and nephew, Bill Verser officiating.
